This microcredential explores the significance of sorghum in the global food system and its role as a climate-smart crop. Insights into the management and production of a successful crop are covered, including trends in production, uses across the value chain, growth stages and factors, differentiation between plant growth and development, management and crop protection practices, and seed selection. Harvesting, drying and storage of the crop for feed and food products, as well as nutrient considerations, will be addressed.
