Quantitative Research Design in Security Studies

Description
Build a strong foundation in research design and analyzing quantitative data on a range of topics related to the study of international and transnational security, including data on armed conflict, terrorism, and more. Learn basic statistical and data analysis techniques to aid you in your professional role, including data visualization, summarizing trends, and identifying and assessing causal relationships.
The Quantitative Research Design in Security Studies microcredential links qualitative and historical subject matter with quantitative concepts through writing assignments as well as seminar participation and discussion. To successfully complete the microcredential and earn a digital badge, you must achieve a minimum passing score of 80% in each course.
Complete the following courses:
- POLSC 700 - Research Methods in Political Science (3 credits)
- POLSC/HIST 810 - Security Studies Methodology (2 credits)
