Discover how to support early literacy development through the Science of Reading framework. Explore evidence-based strategies for a wide representation of learners, including those with reading difficulties. As you apply structured literacy principles to classroom scenarios, you will communicate key concepts and demonstrate your understanding of effective reading instruction.

The Foundations in the Science of Reading for Paraeducators microcredential is designed for those wanting to effectively improve literacy among children in K–6 settings. You will complete practical assignments, objective assessments, and a culminative project focused on applying reading strategies within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). Learning content requires approximately 15 hours to complete. To successfully earn the microcredential badge, you must achieve at least 80% of the point value on assignments.
