This microcredential will present an overview of facilitation and facilitation skills, especially in the context of community development and community engagement work. Nonverbal, verbal and administrative facilitation skills will be outlined and developed.
Additionally, you will learn strategies to lay the groundwork for successful facilitation such as timelining, parking lots, developing shared expectations, the art of the question and meeting intake. An introduction to convergent and divergent tools will also be provided as well as ideas for incorporating facilitation into community engagement and development.
