European History Graduate Microcredential

College of Arts and Sciences

Description:

In both war and peace, European societies have greatly influenced world history. The European History microcredential will help you understand, analyze, and explain the development of European politics, societies, and cultures. It will prepare you to conduct research and teach major trends in Europe’s history, including connecting historical events to contemporary political and social issues.

This microcredential allows MA and PhD students to establish and advertise expertise in European history that is useful in applying for university, community college, and high school history teaching jobs. It shows regional expertise, which is valued by government agencies, and provides an on-ramp to MA and PhD programs in the History Department and related fields.
